Kata Competition Added to 2013 Budokan’s Annual Judo Tournament

Dear Sensei and Friends,
Budokan Dojo and the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington are happy to announce the addition of a Kata Competition to this year’s annual tournament.

Email entry information to Yuko Mera at judouw@uw.edu no later than midnight Wednesday May 29th to avoid a $10 late fee. Be sure to include the names of all kata to be entered and the names of both tori and uke for each kata. You may bring Kata Entry Form and payment to registration on June 1st.

Dojo Award Night on Dec 6th

Winter Budokan Dojo Dinner and Award night is on Tuesday, 6 December 2011 at 6:30pm. Dinner will be held at the Tea Garden Restaurant (one block south of the dojo). The address is 708 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98144.

Since we are deviating from our regular potluck format, the dojo is requesting that families contact Calvin Terada with a headcount and that they cover a flat rate of $25.00 per family. While the dojo will cover the rest of the cost, we are requesting that families cover the cost of their refreshments. Please RSVP by Tuesday, November 29th.
