Calvin is a member of the USJF Referee Committee and Budokan member for over 30 years. He recently passed the IJF "A" Referee Test at the Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Golden Judoguis Championships in Havana Cuba. This rating is the highest ranking authorized by the International Judo Federation.  Referees of this level are eligible for consideration to referee international events such as the World Championships and the Olympic Games. Sensei Terada is the youngest judoka ever to earn an “A” level IJF rating. Budokan is very proud of Calvin’s achievement, and we look forward to seeing him for many years to come referring top level international events.

Last year Traci took advantage of a big opportunity. She took gold in the 52k division at the 2008 U.S. Judo Olympic Team's Olympic Trials in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although Traci was not eligible for the Beijing Olympics because the U.S. did not qualify to send an athlete from the 52k division, this is a huge accomplishment. Traci is currently ranked fifth in the nation in the 52 kg division after taking a bronze medal at the 2009 Senior Nationals in San Diego.
